BLUMBERG, LESLIE 89, of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, formerly a long-time resident of North Miami and Coral Gables, passed away on December 3, 2018. Born in Manhattan, he relocated to Miami Beach in the 1940's with his father Albert, his mother Ruth, and his brother Stuart, so that he could attend the University of Miami on a full music scholarship. While attending the University of Miami in the late 1940's, Leslie met the love of his life, Marilyn Reibel who had relocated to Miami Beach from Brooklyn with her family. Leslie and Marilyn got married in October 1950 and recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music, Leslie became a prominent builder in Dade and Broward County, with his developments included Rolling Green and The Forum in Skylake; Mariners' Bay in San Souci in North Miami; and Sherbrooke Town Homes and San Marino Village in Hollywood. He also built and ran Orbea's Amateur Jai Alai in Medley, Florida during the years he was retired from the building industry. Leslie Blumberg is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Marilyn; his children Howard (Sara Blumberg), Marcia (Ronald Parsons) and David; his grandson Gabriel (Ryann Blumberg), his granddaughter Savannah Parsons, and his brother Stuart (Marlene Blumberg). A Service will be held Sunday, December 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Levitt-Weinstein-Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert in North Miami Beach, (305) 932-2700.
