STROKER, LINDA AIDMAN It is with much sadness in our hearts to share the news that our beloved Linda has lost her arduous battle against her rare cancer. She passed quietly on November 28, 2018, in her sleep with the support of her loving family in Orlando, Florida. Linda was born on May 26, 1952, to Ted and Addie Aidman, in Miami, Florida, where she grew up and lived her entire life. She was a person full of love and compassion and graduated from Florida State University in 1974 with a B.A. in Social Work. She immediately put her new-found knowledge to work assisting others via several Children's Programs and then rising to become Director of Programs for the Handicapped for Miami-Dade County. She wanted to help everyone and even learned sign language, so she could institute a program for the deaf and having a wheelchair lift installed in a county pool to give water access to those who probably thought their disabilities would never allow them to experience these simple joys we all take for granted. This was an example of Linda's huge heart and her love of all people. In her totally unselfish way, she stepped down from her position in 1980 to dedicate her time and life to raising her wonderful children. She instilled in them her incredible love and values, as they grew up and raised their own fantastic families. Linda never stopped growing and had more interests than you can imagine including a world-class cook, painting, a member of an A class tennis league, teaching swim lessons to babies and adults, as well as being a world traveler. She never tired of talking to people from around the globe, enjoying the art, culture, food and the natural beauty that the world has to offer. She is survived by her brothers Randall and Barry Aidman; John, her loving husband of 43 years, daughter Kristin, son Derek, and her most precious gift: her three grandchildren Dylan, Hudson, and Maisie. We ask that you all, in your own way, send a special message of love to Linda, as we know she wants to feel the love from each you.
