She's predeceased by brothers Heini and Roman and sister Meritta. After finishing school at the age of 15, Marcella learned her trade as a tailor. In 1957, she emigrated to the U.S., working as a seamstress in Rantoul, Ill with her childhood best friend. It was there she met the love of her life, an Air Force SSGT. Six weeks later, they married on Oct. 25, 1958. Frank retired from the service in 1970 and the family settled in Miami. Frank and Marcella were involved in the German American Social Club of Greater Miami where she was "First Lady" for seven years. Hurricane Andrew facilitated their move to Melbourne. Marcella recently received an award for more than 3,000 volunteer hours at Patrick Air Force Base. Marcella and Frank traveled almost every year to Europe visiting family and friends, enjoyed 32 cruises and took frequent bike trips in Europe.
