Pablo Tabio Obituary

TABIO, DR. PABLO E., passed away peacefully in his sleep next to the love of his life, Margarita de Cespedes, on October 7, 2009. Dr. Tabio was born on April 17, 1922, in Habana, Cuba. He moved to the United States with his wife and four children on October 1960. He was a tireless physician who practiced medicine throughout his life. Pablo specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he touched many lives through his dedicated and unfailing personal care to all his patients. In addition to his medical profession, his hobby was breeding purebred cattle in his ranch, both in his beloved Cuba and in Pavo, Georgia. He was a devoted family man and patriarch. His admirable courage, persistence, and determination throughout his entire life were evident, even during his illness. He is survived by his wife, Margarita de Cespedes, his daughters, Margarita Larrieu and husband, Jorge R. Larrieu; Maria Ferry and husband, Dr. David S. Ferry; Patricia Shandloff and husband, Ned Shandloff, Esq.; and son Paul M. Tabio, Esq. He had six grandchildren, Ileana Larrieu, Michael Ferry, Matthew Ferry and wife Dana; Marc Ferry, Heather Shandloff, and Brooke Shandloff. The family would like to extend their most sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Catholic Hospice and its extremely dedicated and caring staff for their unending assistance and support. These thanks are also offered to his caretakers, Alma and Mercedes for their loyal, untiring, and loving care. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 12:00 noon at Epiphany Catholic Church to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Hospice. To visit this Guest Book Online, go to www.MiamiHerald.com/obituaries.
