I just learned of Bob´s death. My condolences to his wife and children. Bob was my first boss out of law school. Smathers & Thompson in Miami hired me when I graduated from UF Law in 1978, and I was assigned to Bob. He became my mentor and to this day (I´m still practicing), I credit Bob Landon as the attorney who taught me how to be a lawyer. I tried to model myself on him. He was a terrific lawyer, a lawyer´s lawyer, and I will never forget him or his kindness to me. - William Mallory Kent, Jacksonville, Florida

So very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I had known Bob since the 1970's. He was a brilliant trusts and estates attorney and I always enjoyed working with Bob on the affairs of our mutual clients. Bob had a great personality, a keen mind and was clearly a leader among trusts and estates attorneys. The picture of him with his suspenders is how I will always remember him. A huge loss to his friends, clients, fellow attorneys and the Naples community.
