LEVIN, WILLIAM (BILL) Beloved Husband of Rita, exceptional Father to Jill, Elise and Michael, extraordinary Grandfather to Katharina, Sam, Mason and Mia. Brother in law to Milly, Uncle to Cheryl, Howard, Wendy and Abbe. He now joins his younger Brother Harold; Bill passed peacefully at home with his family at his bedside. His own words: "Had a wonderful journey to the very end", and especially memorable was a trip he took to Israel last year. Born and raised in Audobon, NJ, then moved to Philadelphia. He was first Trumpet in the marching band at Audobon and then Germantown High schools. He studied Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences and then became an Osteopathic Physician via PCOM; he was also a member and officer of SAR and RHO PI fraternities. Bill came to Miami in 1959 and practiced General Family Medicine until 1992. In his retirement he became a clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine Nova Southeastern University college of Osteopathic Medicine where he was passionate about teaching. He also loved working at F.O.H, where patients and staff adored him. His favorite pastimes were eating at Joes Stone crab house, playing Golf at Sherbrook and Doral, Boating on the Rio Rita, the Dolphins (Original season ticket holder), the Marlins, the Panthers, and the Hurricanes. He loved serving as commodore of the dinner key Cruising Club. He was a founding member of Bet Shira Congregation and a member of Chavarah Chai for the past 38 years. Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor and uncanny ability to remember and tell so many jokes! He touched the lives of so many. You will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Wednesday August 27th, 2014 at Bet Shira Congregation 7500 South-west 128th street Miami FL, 33156. Interment in Lakeside Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bet Shira Congregation or the Israeli defense forces.
