William Arthur "Art" Bryan, 83, died in Klamath Falls, Ore., on Jan. 20, 2013.
A service of tribute and love will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Klamath Tribute Center with a reception to follow. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
Art was born on Sept. 2, 1929, to Jesse and Florence Bryan in Leavenworth, Kan. He grew up in that area and, after graduation, entered the U.S. Navy, where he served until he was discharged in 1954.
On April 10, 1954, he married Beverly Paulson in Klamath Falls. She preceded him in death in 2005. They were inseparable in their 51 years of marriage.
He worked for several mills in the area, including Jeld-Wen, where he retired due to a disability.
He was a faithful Christian and read his Bible daily. He enjoyed gardening and inventing things. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family, his grandchildren, taking care of his home, and living at the Linkville House, where he was made the ambassador.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law David and Melinda Bryan of Yakima, Wash.; daughters and son-in-law Debbie and Ken Lind of Wallowa, Ore., and Patricia Fitts of Klamath Falls; grandchildren Jason, Shuana, Skye, Lacey and Alec, Jeff, Jake and Jolee; great-grandchildren Conner, Byron, Finley and Hudson; and brother J.C. Bryan of Leavenworth, Kan.
