Lucannus Cronquist Obituary

USAF Staff Sergeant Lucannus Edward Cronquist (Lucas/Luke) passed away at the age of 42 on January 6, 2025 at his family home in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was born on August 16, 1982, to Brian and Jayme Cronquist in San Jose, California. Lucas was raised in the Bay Area and Singapore, and attended Valley Christian High School before enlisting in the Air Force at the age of 23. He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base (CA) and served as a Flight Engineer on C5 aircrafts for 10 years before being Honorably Discharged in 2015.

A Star Wars Enthusiast. Culinary Artist. Lover of Wolves. Protector of the Sky. Explorer of the World. Lucas enjoyed hiking Oregon trails, camping, and taking walks with his beloved wife Kayla & their dog Tristen. He continuously blessed his family and friends with flavors from around the world with his expert culinary skills. Lucas often spoke of his years living in Singapore and serving in the Air Force as some of his most meaningful moments throughout his life. Since childhood, he found an abundance of joy sitting around the table and playing card games with his family and friends. To his core, Lucas was a protector of his family and thrived in helping and teaching others.

Lucas is survived by his wife Kayla, his parents Brian and Jayme, his siblings Paul and Carisse, his nephew Carmelo Lucas, his grandmother Janet Zeitman, and many cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends who all loved him dearly.

Lucas will be interred with full military honors at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery just outside of Travis AFB. He will be dearly missed and his spirit will live on through his family and friends. In memory of Lucas, you can donate to Valley Christian Schools, high school theater program, San Jose, CA. https://www.vcs.net/give/give-online
