David Hull Obituary
David Myron Hull, 86, died suddenly on May 6, 2018 after a struggle with cancer.
David was born in Mt. Shasta, Calif., to Myron Francis and Ruth Lorene Hull. He graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1950, enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was discharged in November 1953 as a staff sergeant. He worked as a brakeman for Southern Pacific, then as assistant city engineer in Roseburg, Ore., in 1956. He married Patricia Ruth Marshall in 1957. In 1962, he became an Oregon Registered Professional Land Surveyor and began teaching at OTI.
He received the OIT distinguished instructor award in 1964, a Master's Degree from Oregon State in 1979, and was promoted to full professor in 1982. He retired and received emeritus professor award in 1987.
Dad always said working was his favorite activity.
He was beloved husband of Patricia Ruth Hull and Eleanor Hull and beloved father of Danny Lee and Jeffrey David Hull. He is survived by his second wife and sons; his sisters, Pat Miller and Judy McGill; cousin, Marvin Morey; and lifelong friends, Vern Wonser, Louis Holzgang and many other good friends. A memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery at 1 p.m., on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
