John Henry O'Keeffe

1935 - 2025

John Henry O'Keeffe passed away on August 16, 2025 in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the age of 90. He was born March 27, 1935 in a cabin on a family homestead in Tulelake, California. After graduating from Tulelake High School, John went on to serve our country as a heavy weapons specialist in the US Army. He was deployed to Germany from 1954 to 1956. John returned to Tulelake where he ultimately married the love of his life Gail Frances (Hurlburt) Alden-O'Keeffe, his high school sweetheart. John was a lifelong rancher who like many in that era never really retired. John was preceded in death by his wife, parents, his sister Sarah Kenneally and many other friends and family members. He is survived by his sister, Lena Mae Creech, and his nephew Troy Creech. There will be a celebration of life at John's home on Saturday, September the 13th at 1:00 pm.
