Julie Denise Hardt Obituary
Julie Denise Hardt, 51, was born to James Phillip and Catherine Julia Cyr on March 14, 1967, in Lakeview, Ore. She peacefully passed away at Sky Lakes Medical Center on June 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Julie grew up in Lakeview, with four brothers, Jim, Joe, Jeff and John, two sisters, Danelle Markham and Deborah Provost, and countless friends. No one was a stranger. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing 4-H, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1985. On June 30, 1990, she married the love of her life, Shawn Leon Hardt. Seldom was one seen without the other. Together they raised three sons. Julie's greatest passions in life were her faith in God, being a wife and a mom, and loving friends and family near and far.
She worked with the city of Klamath Falls for 27 years. Julie truly loved her job and the people associated with it.
Julie, Shawn and the boys spent endless hours in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, searching for rocks, building intricate beadwork, reading, etc., or just being. She loved to take a nap surrounded by God's grace and there has never been a better place to take one than under the canopy of the pines. Julie was a devoted member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, a saint in the eyes of our Heavenly Father.
Many have been recipients of Julie's handmade, heartfelt keepsakes, ranging from quilts, to beaded stars. Yet they are but a small reflection of her kindness and charity. She would drop everything to help anyone in need. She knew life was not about things, but about how her actions and smile could brighten someone else's day.
Julie is survived by her loving husband, Shawn Leon Hardt; sons, Landon James, 27, Cheney Michael, 23, and Steen Joseph, 18; Bumble the pug, 8 months; father, James P. Cyr; brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Catherine Julia Cyr.
We would like to thank everyone near and far for their generosity with honoring Julie. Remember to keep smiling and stay positive. Brighten up someone else's day like Julie did every day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, followed by a reception, at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 4880 Bristol Ave.
