Georgia Emma Colosimo passed away July 24, 2014, at 90. Known for her big heart, contagious laugh and gregarious spirit, Georgia lived life to the fullest. She especially loved children and caring for others. Georgia was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Stanley, Wis. She moved to Oregon in 1948, where she later met and married Vincent Colosimo. Georgia and Vince were frequently found sharing a laugh and a cup of coffee at their favorite coffee shop. Friends and family knew to always be ready to pose because Georgia's love of sharing time with family and friends was often punctuated with a camera flash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Colosimo; her daughter and granddaughter, Kitty and Fonda Waldrip; and grandsons, Gary and Steve Thompson. She is survived by three sons, Bill Thompson, Jim (Joan) Thompson and Gary (Sandy) Thompson; daughter, Kay (Dennis) Moyette; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgia was lovingly cared for in her final years at Marquis Care Center at Plum Ridge. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks to the many nurses, staff and volunteers who visited her, prayed with and for her, sang her favorite hymns and took time to bring her a smile. Georgia was loved by many and will be greatly missed. After a small family memorial, Georgia will be interred at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
