Grace was born on Sept. 6, 1920, in Simi Valley, Calif., to Timothy and Marion (Willard) Flanagan; she was the eldest of two children.
She graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1938 and later attended one year of cosmetology school and worked at Gilda's Beauty Shop in Glendale, Calif.
Grace enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and worked as a nurse's aide through World War II; she received an
honorable discharge on Nov. 26, 1945.
On Jan. 15, 1945, she married her childhood sweetheart and neighbor Lewis Stork in Las Vegas, Nev. In 1957, Lewis and Grace moved their family to Klamath Falls, where they raised their four children. Grace was a homemaker for many years.
She enjoyed traveling with Lewis in their motor home, playing cribbage regularly and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and First Baptist Church in Klamath Falls and attended services regularly. She played the fiddle and harmonica and was a member of the Old-Time Fiddlers. She was a longtime member of the Midland Grange, Klamath County Pomona Grange, Oregon State Grange, Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association No. 21, and the Moose Lodge.
Grace was preceded in death by her brother Pete Flanagan and Lewis Stork, her husband of 66 years.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Heflin of Simi Valley; four children and their spouses John and Patty (Stork) Bodnar, Henry and Vicki Stork, Lewis and Jewel Stork, and John and Jeanine Stork; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; and nine great-grandchildren.
