On Saturday, December 29, 2018 Evelyn Woods, loving mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 68. Evelyn Annetta "Netta" Woods was born on December 7, 1950 in Denison Texas to Charlie and Evelyn Moore. She was the youngest of 8 children. She accomplished many things throughout her life and eventually worked her way up the ranks to become supervisor of the Housekeeping Department at the Radisson Hotel in Kentucky.
Throughout her life, Evelyn was a woman of strong faith. A longtime, faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church from a young age, Evelyn was active in the music ministry and anything else needed in the church. She attended Mt. Zion regularly until her health failed prompting a move to Waco, Texas.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Evelyn will be forever missed by those who loved and admired her. Her homecoming will be rejoiced by those who preceded her in death: her father, Charlie Moore; her mother, Evelyn Moore and brothers, Billy and Curtis Moore.
