SHERMAN - Services to celebrate the life of Jack D. Nash will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Dennis Stewart and Bob Sholl officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with military presentation by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard at the gravesite. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Waldo Funeral Home.

Mr. Nash was born Thursday, April 7, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan to Francis and Edna (Sage) Nash and passed from this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Denison, Texas at the age of 86. Mr. Nash was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, member of Civil Air Patrol, Grayson County Amateur Radio Club, Jaycees, volunteered at Bonham VA, Habitat for Humanity, and participated with the Bonnie and Clyde reenactments.

He married Thelma McDonald on June 14, 1985 in Sherman. He enjoyed woodworking and experimenting with his aircraft he owned.

Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Thelma.

He is survived by his five children, James Nash (Richelle) of Sherman, Dennis Nash (Pam) of Sun City, Fla., Richard Nash (Pat) of Martin, Mich., Nancy Brutsche (Jim) of Portage, Mich., and Steven Nash of Chillicothe, Ohio; step-daughters Linda Nash of Sherman, Sharon Strang of Orlando, Fla., and Gayle Adams of Meridan, Miss.; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
