Normarie Sullivan
Normarie Sullivan, 84, passed away from post-COViD-19 complications on January 8, 2021 at AllianceHealth in Durant, Oklahoma. She was surrounded by caring healthcare workers and her loving family.
Normarie was born July 31, 1936 in Utica, Oklahoma to Carrie (Woodard) Conditt and William Afton Conditt. She spent her childhood years in Utica with her family. Upon starting a family of her own, Normarie spent many years residing in Shawnee, Oklahoma before eventually moving to Durant, Oklahoma, where she was a resident for over 20 years.
Normarie graduated from Utica Public Schools in 1954 and attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She worked for the Potawatomi County Farm Bureau and the Bryan County Farm Bureau as an office manager before retiring in the early 2000s.
Normarie was the epitome of glory and grace. She led a life fueled by love, shedding her light on everyone she came in contact with. She was captivating, kind, and would offer her hand to anyone unconditionally. She was a social butterfly and an avid bowler. She competed on several leagues across Southeastern Oklahoma, including a league of close friends who she competed with until the final month of her life. In her free time, Normarie enjoyed playing card games and dominoes, traveling with her friends and family, reading, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Normarie was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the Utica Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Normarie is survived by her husband, Cecil Sullivan of Durant, OK, her son, Keith Kuykendall and wife, Debra of Shawnee, OK, her step-son Tony Sullivan and wife Nancy of Durant, OK, her grandchildren, Amber Leone and husband, Dax of Shawnee, OK, Erika Kuykendall of Shawnee, OK, Tara Miller and husband Drew of Durant, OK, Ericka Walker and husband John of Durant, OK, and Kylee Kuykendall and husband Treven LeBlanc of Durant, OK. She also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren- Tal Leone, Payden Leone, Sawyer Bias, Lily Miller, Beau Miller, Carlee Lake, and Ryland Walker.
Normarie is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie May and William Afton Conditt, her siblings, Talmadge Conditt, Louise Robinson, Geraldine Simmons, Muriel Carr, W.A. Conditt, Billy Conditt, Marnell Mulkey, her son, Bradley Kuykendall, and her step-son, Jerry Sullivan.
Services are entrusted to Brown's Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. No funeral will be held as Normarie wished to protect all friends and family during the COViD-19 pandemic. She will be available for viewing at Brown's Funeral Home during business hours on January 11th and 12th, 2021. The family asks visitors to please wear masks and to maintain social distancing protocols during visitation. Contributions to Utica Baptist Church made in her name would be greatly appreciated. Flowers, donations, and condolences may also be offered at 3050 N. 49th Ave. Durant, Oklahoma, 74701.

Cecil, please accept my condolences on the passing of Norma. I was so sorry to hear of it as she was a very nice person and I always enjoyed bowling with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless you.
