Elma Irene Kuntz (Snedeker) passed away on April 29 after a long (non-covid related) illness. She was born on September 20th, 1926 in Alliance Nebraska to Morton and Loretta Snedeker.
She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1944. When her "knight in shining armor" came home from the war, they married on Nov. 18th, 1944. (Paul was a paratrooper who jumped on D-Day but was wounded 15 days later.)
They immediately moved to Vancouver, WA. where Paul was a patient at Barnes Army Hospital. Their six children were all born in Vancouver. In 1960 they moved to Seattle where Paul worked on the waterfront.
Elma worked at Montgomery Ward and Safeco Insurance Co. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. John's parish in Seattle, at Mesa, AZ, and at St. Mary parish in Marysville.
Her parents, an older infant brother, two sisters, husband Paul, and son Stephen preceded her in death. She leaves behind sons Michael, James, David (Amanda), Daniel (Allyson) and her daughter Margaret (Leonard) Aamodt as well as eleven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
