Jerry Huck Sr. was born December 29, 1948 in Yakima, WA to Helen and Frank Huck, he was the fourth of eight boys. His family moved to Everett in 1956 where he attended local schools.

Just like three of his brothers before him, Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps including a 1968-69 tour of duty in Vietnam. Beyond his service to his country, he spent the last 15 years as an active member of the Third Marine Corps Division Association. He enjoyed helping to plan the annual reunions, which included scoping out future locations, setting up and providing refreshments for the Hospitality Room and the infamous 'Bunker'.

After working for Read Products for 20 plus years, he moved into property management and maintenance for multi-family dwellings. He was a Jack of all trades, working at construction, electrical and plumbing jobs, landscaping, restaurant management and even commercial fishing. His other passions included building his dream cabin in the North Cascades and going to Seahawk games.

He was larger than life, full of love, fiercely loyal, a dedicated father, compassionate, generous and courageous.

He is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 40 years, two daughters: Jennifer Oberg and husband Joshua, Kelly Andrist and husband Morgan and his son Gerald Jr and wife Tiffany.

Jerry is proceeded in death by brothers Daniel, Frank, James, Timothy and Ralph. He has two surviving brothers, Larry and Mark.

He will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery. A celebration of Jerry's life will be taking place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.

I'm sad to read of Jerry's passing, and of so many of his brothers, and with his family the best in this difficult time. Tim was a childhood friend (and I recall some of his brothers) until we drifted apart after South Junior High. I often think of Tim, his brothers, mom Helen, the old Huck House and the baseball/football field nearby. We all had some good times together. If anyone could tell me how things went for Tim in particular after high school I'd be grateful.

You were a true and loyal friend.
My sympathy to Susie and all of your family.
You will be missed by so many. It is true, the saying, 'you don't know what you got, until you lose it', this applies to you.
We will all miss our friend.
Your Friend,
Doug Lageson
