Dear Carole,
Ingrid and Ken were here the other day for lunch and told us about Alan. I'm sure it's very hard to cope with a great loss as yours. We are so sorry and want you to know you're in our thoughts and prayers. Alan was a great guy.

Dear Carole
I am very sorry about Alan.
I have so many good memories of him when we spent time together since the Christmas in 1994 in New Jersey. It was one of the special Christmases for me and I had a great time. I still remember when Alan acted funny with Christmas socks. I didn't know it was the last time for me to see Alan when I left Seattle last year. I am happy that I was able to get to know you and Alan and do things together through Diane and Mel.
We will miss him.
Love,
Keiko and (Sachiko)

Carole, Shelley, Jeff, and Forrest,
As I join you from Aspinwall Corners Sunday in celebrating Al’s life many wonderful memories will flood the corners of my mind. His concern and love of family was such a rock for me when Will died; he shared of himself in a way that gave all who knew him a certainty that he would be there without any hesitation if needed. I am so grateful for the time we had together during my visit this spring. Special times with Alan are too vast to list but they are filled with love and joy and happiness. I will miss him.

Carole and family,
What a beautiful testimony to my exceptional, wonderful, loving brother. He lived an outstanding life; how do you tell about all the people he touched with his generosity? He really cared.
