Betty Lou (Berger) Benedictson

Betty passed away January 23, 2011 at the age of 80.
She was born to Charles S. and Rose Berger on November 8, 1930 in Bismarck, ND. The family moved to Marysville, WA in 1941 where Betty graduated from Marysville High School with the Class of 1948. In 1950, she married Paul Benedictson and together, they raised their family - Michael Benedictson and Tracy Benedictson-Holtum. Betty spent the last five years being a well-adjusted snowbird, living in Bull Head City, AZ with her companion, Bernie Schnoberger. She loved Arizona and would always look forward to their trip back in the early fall.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Beverly; and her beloved husband, Paul.
She will be truly missed by all.
Betty leaves behind her two children, Michael Benedictson and Tracy Holtum (Mike); and four grandchildren, Stephanie Holtum Oxborough, Anthony Holtum, David Holtum, and Mickey Holtum; one great- granddaughter, Isabella Oxborough; brother, Tom Berger (Nancy); sister, Vicky Peacock (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for always welcoming everyone into her home, for her wonderful sense of humor, and all the fantastic garage sales she hosted with family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Josephine Nursing Home and Providence Hospice for the special care Betty received. A special thank you to her wonderful friend, Betty Johnson, for the time, love and compassion shown to Betty.
A family and friends get- together will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the home of Mike and Tracy Holtum on February 12, 2011 at 1387 Dallman Road, Camano Island, WA.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Providence Hospice or to your favorite charity.
