Born in Detroit, Michigan to Bloss and Pearl Scott, Bruce was the oldest of four children, James (deceased), Doris, and Nancy (deceased).
In 1942, Bruce answered the call to serve his country as a P-51 Mustang fighter pilot, earning many air medals over Germany, France, and the Polesti. His military career ended in 1957 as a reservist and during those years, he married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Aurich of Muskegon Michigan. They had four daughters, Jeanne Park of Silver Springs, Nevada, Patricia Jennings of Herndon, Virginia, Jill Colebank of Lynnwood, Washington and Deborah McHeffey of Lynnwood, Washington.
His careers included Texaco in Montebello, California, the U.S. government in Reno, Nevada, Boeing in Seattle, Washington and 3M in White City, Oregon where he retired.
They settled in Marysville, Washington where Bruce passed away, leaving behind his wife, daughters and their families, grandchildren, Leone Park, Ryan Jennings, Jeff Jennings, David Lewellen, Randy Lewellen, Jennifer Howards, and Ashley McHeffey; and his great- granchildren, Brandon Park, Benjamin and Ethan Jennings, Conner Lewellen, Lily Howards, and Alliana and Dominic Pierce.
Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Grandpa, Papa, Daddy and Friend; he is our hero and we will miss him.
