Obituary

Harold Daniel Goodkind

Harold Daniel Goodkind, born in Chicago, IL on October 9, 1922, was called home to be with his Savior on April 20, 2011 at 4:35 a.m. He left this world while in the arms of his beloved wife Claire and surrounded by loved ones.
He was best known for sharing his adventurous stories of travels in Alaska while acting as a Sales Representative. He was loved by all for his friendly and optimistic outlook and sense of humor. He was especially proud of his most recent and celebrated accomplishment of 65 years of marriage. Harold was also a WWII veteran, a member of the Senior Crime Watch Program, an active church Elder and an extraordinarily charming storybook reader for children.
Harold is survived by his wife, Claire Goodkind; his children, Ben and wife Dee, Judy and husband Don, Sandi and husband Paul, Janet and husband Russell, and Elaina and husband Daniel; as well as grandchildren, Heather and husband Christopher, Justin and wife Nicole, Naomi, Grant, Kyle, Brittany, Stephanie and Jeremy; and one great-grandchild, Zoey Jewel.
He was a loving husband, our caring father, adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. We will miss you and love you forever.
His funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.
