Jack W. Mathews, Sr.

Born August 28, 1925, he passed peacefully with his family at his side on May 5, 2011 in Stanwood, WA.
"Handsome Jack" served honorably in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a proud member of ILWU Local 19, and retired as a longshoreman in Seattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Helen; siblings, Helen, Dan and Floyd.
He is survived by his son, Jack, Jr. (of the family home); grandchildren, Jacki Wilson (Jim), Teri Doster (Chuck) and Jack W. Mathews, III. Plus one more "to be announced" in November, 2011. He has six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
