Joane Alice Salvino

Joane was born March 27, 1920 in Amsterdam, Holland and passed away February 10, 2011 in Lynnwood, Washington. Her brothers and mother moved to the United States to join her father and sister in Seattle, Washington when she was seven years old. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Ann Walters.
Joane is survived by her husband of 72 years Marcus Salvino; daughter, Nancy Salvino; nieces, Nickie Marzullo, Noreen Skagen, Dotty Prindle, Sharon Salvino; nephews, Victor, Duane and Richard Salvino.
Joane had a good sense of humor, beautiful smile, her brown eyes always sparkled. She always kept the house spotless, even at 90, and in the spring she loved her flowers. Joane loved arts and crafts. She and her sister would get up at 4:00 a.m. and knit ladies coats, sweaters etc. They really had a lot of fun with their projects. Joane worked for Washington Mutual Insurance Company for 15 years as an elevator operator. Joane will be missed and loved forever.
She is preceeded in death by her brothers, Peter and Jack Walters; and sister Alice Marzullo.
At her request there will be no funeral. Inurnment was held at Evergreen-Washelli. Remembrances may be made in her memory to: Meals on Wheels, 8225 44th Ave W, Suite O, Mukilteo, Washington 98275 or to the Humane Society, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, Washington 98005.
