John Coburn Fawcett (1940 - 2018)

July 25, 1940-December 16, 2018 John Coburn Fawcett was born July 25, 1940, in Oakland, CA to John Hewlett Fawcett and Helen Coburn Smith. John graduated from Berkeley High School in 1958 and UC Riverside in 1962 with a BA in Sociology. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War 1963-1968 as an airplane maintenance captain. He married Patricia Amber Pierce on July 13, 1968. He was later sealed on January 11, 1975 in the LDS Los Angeles, CA Temple. He was a devoted husband and loving father as well as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived a life of service, was active in the VFW and also organized blood drives for years. John was an entrepreneur. His businesses included a printing company, property management company, and driving schools. John had a great sense of humor and loved to make up puns. He and his wife loved to travel together, go to the theatre, and often opened their home to friends and family to share dinners and foster great friendships. John passed away of natural causes on Sunday, December 16, 2018. He is survived by his children, JC (Anais) Fawcett of Sammamish, WA; Kristal (Jim) Andersen of St. George, UT; Bridget (Tymon) Johns, and Brett (Katie) Fawcett, both of Snohomish, WA; his sister, Grace Fawcett of Berkeley, CA, and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty; grandson, Evan Johns, and his parents. Services were held December 27, 2018. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Snohomish, WA.
