Kenneth Edwin Hansen

Ken passed away March 26, 2011, in Edmonds at age 82.
He was born October 6, 1928, in Seattle, the son of Kaare and Helen Hansen. After graduating from Ballard High School - where he met his beautiful wife of 62 years, Beverly - Ken served with both the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy; he also attended the University of Washington. After leaving the service, he worked with Pacific Northwest Bell for 34 years, retiring as an outside plant engineer in 1990 and enjoying years of golf and travel to Kauai and Palm Springs.
Ken took great pride in his family and is survived by wife, Beverly; daughters, Diane Wright (Skip) and Jan Vance (Bill); grandchildren, Stacy Vance, Heidi Brown (Josh) and Cory Vance; sisters, Geraldine Hansen and Arline Rotter (Martin); and a large extended family. Two step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren also survive him.

Private graveside services will be held Saturday, April 2, followed by a public celebration of life from 4-6 p.m. at Edmonds Conference Center, 201 4th Ave. N, Edmonds.
