Lawrence Leger Rowe

Lawrence Leger Rowe, 87, a lifelong resident of Snohomish, WA passed away April 29, 2011 surrounded by his family. Lawrence started working with Fruit Growers as a box boy. Later he worked for Blue Bell Potato Chips and then moved on to a purchasing agent position for Societe Candy Company and finished his career with Vernell Candy Company. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Lawrence was the town Santa Claus for 25 years delighting both children and adults.
He was married to Dorothy for 56 years. She preceded him in death in June of 2003.
He is survived by daughters Catherine (Todd) Parks, of Snohomish, and Jane Stimson, of Portland, Oregon. He was adored by his four grandsons, David, K.C., Daniel, and Skyler.
Lawrence was a lifetime parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church and served as Past President of the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
Catherine and Jane would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the six years of compassionate and loving care by all at his final home, Sunrise of Snohomish.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent De Paul; or Hospice of Snohomish.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Snohomish.
