Raymond F. Gilligan

Raymond F. Gilligan, 82, was born November 23, 1928, and walked through the gates of Heaven on January 28, 2011.
Ray was born in Rutland, Vermont to Peter and Ella Gilligan. He was a veteran of the US. Army. While stationed at Fort Lawton, WA, he met and married Evelyn Bogart on December 6, 1952. They moved and started their life together in Vermont, having a daughter, Deborah in 1953. They returned to WA and had two sons, Raymond Jr. and James Sr.
Ray was a member of Laborers local #292 and retired from Associated Sand & Gravel after many years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of 58 years; daughter, Deborah (Jim) Lundstrom; sons, Raymond Jr. and James Sr.; sisters, Joann (Gene) Gosk, Lorraine and Lori; brother, George (Janet) Gilligan; sister-in-law, Dixie Wiley; brothers-in-law, Wayne, Nyal (Maxine) Dale (Yvonne) and Earl (Viola) Bogart; grandchildren, Casey, Jamie, Danielle, Chrystal, James Jr, Rachael, Mark, Raymond III, Trenton, Miklynn and Sammy; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and his best friend, Peaches.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; sister, Alice; father and mother-in-law, Jess and Evelyn; brothers-in-law, Loren (Laura) Floyd (Georgia), Jess and Aaron; sisters-in-law, Bernell (Stan) and Bessie (Gene).
