Richard Scriven Richard Allen Scriven was born May 26, 1954, went home to the Lord on December 8, 2016. He lived a full life of varied interests and never hesitated to let those he loved know that he loved them. Rick's parents were Gil and Betty Scriven, siblings, Dave and Barbara. He was so proud of his brother and sister, treasuring their close relationship. Rick married Holly Walker in 1977. They were sweethearts who loved each other and the life they shared. They lived in Everett, WA and Lake Stevens, WA and settled down in Marysville, WA. Rick always said having children was the best thing he ever did. He basked in the love and joy they brought into his life: his daughter, Elizabeth, son, Samuel with Sam's wife, Lindsey, and daughter, Abigail with Abby's husband, Josh. His cup was full. Then came grand-children, Weston and new baby coming (Sam and Lindsey) and Ella and Penelope (Abby and Josh). His cup absolutely overflowed. Rick taught school for 34 years from Everett, Lake Stevens, to Marysville. He played guitar professionally all over the Seattle/Everett area. A year ago he was diagnosed with diffuse systemic scleroderma which took his life far too soon. He brought fun and laughter wherever he went, and cared deeply for those around him. He will be so greatly missed. Contact the Family for Memorial Information In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Scleroderma Foundation at:
