Russell Blatchford of Victorville, CA went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2011.
Russell was born in Wenatchee, WA on September 8, 1946 to Morley and Maxie Blatchford.
Russell grew up in Everett, WA and joined the U.S. Army in 1963 until 1966. He worked at Scott Paper Co. for 15 years. In 1982, he re-entered the U.S. Army and retired at Ft. Irwin, CA in 2001. He worked for Range Control on the MOUT team.
Russell enjoyed being outdoors with family and friends camping, fishing and kayaking. His passion was shooting guns and rifles. He was a member of the West Victor Valley Gun Club in Adelanto, Ca.
Russell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosalie; son, Quinton and his wife Melissa; and sister, Gayle (Blatchford) Messersmith and her husband Al.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on May 20, 2011 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
The Blatchford family would like to thank the MOUT family team, Goldstone family team, Loma Linda VA Hospital and Calvary Chapel of Hesperia, CA for all your prayers, love and support.
