Brian Van Beek Obituary

Brian Mark Van Beek

Brian Mark Van Beek was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1974, at Hawarden, Iowa to Clarence and Rachel (Vanden Bosch) Van Beek. He was home-schooled with his brothers and sisters. With his brother Clarence, Brian started and owned Van Beek Landscaping in Washington. He loved to hunt and also enjoyed going out on the boat to go "crabbing." He married Rebecca Smith on November 6, 1993. They lived in the Lake Stevens, Washington area for 10 years with their three sons and stepdaughter. He remained in the Lake Stevens area with his sons until November of 2008 when he came to Scotland to spend time with his parents, sisters and brother.
Brian passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 in Kaylor, South Dakota at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Brian will be forever remembered by his three sons, Jake, Cody and Wesley; and a step-daughter, Erika, all of Mill Creek, Washington; his parents, Clarence and Rachel Van Beek, of Scotland; seven brothers and sisters, Carla (Curtis) States, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, Lavonne (Daryl) Sobek, of Anchorage, Alaska, Clarence (Becky) Van Beek, of Granite Falls, Washington, Tom (Tracy) Van Beek, of Arlington, Washington, Sara (Duane) Hochstein, of Scotland, Carolyn (Matt) Dennis, of Scotland, and Anthony (Candance) Van Beek, of Scotland; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
