With sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Keith William Henry, born September 22, 1959. A longtime resident of Stanwood, Wash. and second of three children of John Alfred Henry and Carolyn Nelson Henry, Keith passed away at his home on November 25, 2015. Keith attended kindergarten at Stephen Decatur Elementary school in Seattle, Wash. then Olympic Elementary School and Edmonds Junior High in Edmonds, Wash. graduating from Edmonds Senior High School in 1978. After he was graduated by Central Washington University with a B.S. in Business Administration he was employed by Boeing Airplane Co. for 24 years. Keith will be remembered for his caring heart and willingness to help anyone in need. Keith spent his entire career at Boeing, Everett Wash. Keith worked as a Manufacturing Engineer (M.E.) for much of his career and spent some time in management. Keith spent time in the IRC (Interiors Responsibility Center) and on the 787 program, in a ship side support role. He was very proud of the products he worked on and of the people he worked with. Keith was a well-respected M.E. and had many friends at Boeing. Prior to working at Boeing and receiving his undergraduate education, Keith spent time working in Alaska in the fishing industry, Forks, Wash. as a logger, and at Sears & Roebuck (entire time at the store in north Seattle). Keith had many interests and hobbies. He especially loved hydroplane racing; the Miss Bardahl of the 1960s and the Rolls Royce Griffon Miss Budweiser of the 1980s were two of his favorites in his lifetime. Keith followed the sport from very early in his life having received this passion from his Grandpa (Walter) Henry. Keith's love of this sport was shared with many in the family, including his brother Mark. Many races in various classes were attended over the years, mostly in WA state. In addition to hydros, Keith had a love for music (especially rock), yellow roses, dogs, saving money, hockey, and football. Keith is survived by his children, Madeline and Jack; mother, Carolyn Henry; sister, Sharon (Clayton) Galliher, brother, Mark (Doni); seven nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Keith will be held at the Edmonds Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to P.A.W.S. or the Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum, Kent WA.
