Wendy Manning King, age 80, of Falmouth, Massachusetts passed away on March 26, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. Wendy was born on November 5, 1940 to Ida (Chorlton) and John Manning. She was raised in Fall River, MA, and graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in 1958. After graduation, Wendy moved to Boston where she pursued further education, worked as a Social Service Coordinator for Massachusetts General Hospital, and met her future husband, George King, to whom she was married to for 56 years. Wendy was a caring and dedicated mother. She was known for her style, quick wit, independent spirit, and compassionate nature. She enjoyed reading, singing, volunteering in support of her church, local food banks, and animal shelters, and spending time with her family and friends at the beach. Wendy is preceded in death by her mother (Ida Manning), father (John Manning), brother (John Manning, Jr.), and her cherished Bischon Frise (Sunshine). She is survived by her husband George King, her daughter Kirsten Holthaus, her sons Brendan King and Jason King, her four grandchildren, her sisters Mary Dakake and Connie Arnoe and brother James Manning. A private burial is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wendys name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Wendy was a fun and friendly woman. She and I sang together in the Choraliers in Falmouth for many years. I just now saw her obituary-sad for me. May you be singing as you watch over us, Wendy!
