There was never a time when I was in a room with Bernie that he didn't smile at something someone said, and visibly cheer them on as they spoke. He was unselfish and kind to all. Thank you God for the gift of knowing Bernie, he inspired so many of us. He will be deeply missed here on earth, and I am certain Ron H is glad to get his close friend back.

Bernie was a man full of exuberance, and never without a smile to give to anyone that may need it. I owe a great many things to the wonderful man with a click and a point. He showed me the meaning of true empathy while guiding me and others to the other side of many situations. Bernie will live on through my memories, words I share and I'm quite positive through the memories of countless others. You will truly be missed, Bernie. You were, are and will be loved.

Bernie's enthusiasm for life was contagious and helped save so MANY lives, including mine. His empathy for others and his keen ability to truly LISTEN were beautiful traits I will try to emulate. Enjoy the Big Meeting, my sweet friend, Bernie, from Kershaw. There will never be a Thanksgiving dinner at the SC that I won't raise a cup of coffee for you.
