David "Dave" Charles Morrow, 92, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Tuesday, Jan. 2. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Beryl "Jean," and is survived by his sister, Betty Towne, sisters-in-law Jean Alley and Mary Alice Stam, and their families.

Dave was born in New York in 1925 and attended Roberts Wesleyan College and the University of Rochester, as well as earned his master's in education administration from State University in Brockport. Dave served as a sergeant in the United States Army, earning the American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He began his professional career in the employment office of Hickok Manufacturing Company before transitioning to education, working as a teacher and principal in Le Roy Central School System and director of admissions at Roberts Wesleyan College. Jean and Dave were passionate about education and served as avid supporters and friends of the college for many years, hosting students in their home for regular Sunday dinners and establishing the Dave and Jean Morrow Endowed Scholarship. Dave and Jean were long time members of Pearse Memorial Church in North Chili, New York. As long-time residents at Park Point Village Retirement Community, Jean and Dave endeared themselves to countless residents and staff members. Dave led music in the Sunday morning worship services, often participating in duets with Jean.

A memorial service will be held in Rock Hill, South Carolina, at 2 p.m. on Jan. 20 at the Park Pointe Village community room, 3025 Chesbrough Blvd.
