William Beam Brown

Bahama, North Carolina - William Beam Brown, 84, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital. He was born in Person County, NC, the son of the late Bradsher Dewey Brown and the late Roberta Bowen Brown. He was also preceded in death his sister, Polly Brown Chambers and brother, Tony Sidney Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired iron worker and a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of Iron Workers Union Local 636.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Bowman Brown; son, Brad Brown and wife Donna; granddaughter, Ashley Brown and significant other, Brian Chambers; great grandson, Tyler Bradley Mangum; and sisters, Judy Brown Downey and Linda Brown Wright.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 4th at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Rougemont with Dr. David Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Tabor UMC Cemetery Fund: c/o Wayne Mangum, 3407 Bahama Rd., Rougemont, NC 27572.
