To the Davis Family,

I have known Brian for many years without really knowing him, I am sorry to say. But what I do know of him is that he seemed to be a wonderful friend to the special people that he let into his life. From the out side you could easily see the deep love that he had for his beautiful girls. Life will be hard living without a son, brother, husband, father and friend. However he will live in all of you! That is the gift of life lived! To have known and to have loved, you all shall have memories that will never falter. I wish you all the streath that you will need to get you through your loss. He will be missed…..

I grew up in the same neighborhood as Brian, and have many childhood memories with the Davis' family. This is a very sad time and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Davis' family. I have alot of good memories of the old neighborhood, and will always miss Brian. Ricky and I always looked up to Brian and Mark, they were GREAT role models for us younger kids.

Brian, It is unimagineable that I will never see you on the Football field again as a team mate or opponent and will never have your shoulder to lean on when I need it. Your tragic passing has left me numb and my friend I know you are in eternal peace. To the Davis family, Brian's impact as a player and person was felt deep into the Law Enforcement community. Pembroke Pines and Coral Gables L.E. games football players came to say their goodbyes and pay their respect today. I have also received calls from Ft Lauderdale P.D. , West Palm Beach and Homestead P.D. to express their sorrow and sympathy. Brian was true competitor and Friend, I will miss him.

Brian and my son, Mark, were close friends since grade school. We lived in the same neighborhood and they were at one or the other's home many times. In fact, Sandee and Jim had us over for special events such as birthdays and graduations. These were the good times and will always be remembered.

My heart goes out to Sandee and Jim as well as their two boys.

Brian will not be forgotten.

My heart and prayers go out to the Davis' families and my only hope is that all will remain strong through these difficult times.

Shannon,
I am so sorry. As I mentioned, although there’s been time between us - you, Brian, Brinn and even Reeghan (who I very much look forward to meeting) have never left my thoughts, my prayers or my heart. For so long you were more than a friend, you were my family. Please know that you can count on me in any way. As though not a day has passed, I am here for you as you have been there for me many times in the past.

You are truly an amazing person Shannon; an unbelievable mother, and most loving wife to Brian. I have always admired your patience, your genuine care for the happiness of others, and infectious laugh; your smile alone lights up a room. You are an inspiration and have a spirit that makes others yearn to be close to you. As difficult as this time is, you and your girls are surrounded by so much love. As the endless caretaker, I hope you call upon the strength of others and allow yourself to be truly embraced and taken care of.

I hope in the days that follow, you can shift your thoughts to how Brian might still be joyfully living today in heaven with his Creator.

In His grace and mercy, God does not demand the impossible of us.

All my love.

Dear Shannon and family~

We are so deeply saddened by the news of Brian's passing. He has been a wonderful neighbor -- always there with a comforting word when something spooky happens, first on the scene to help with a kid in distress and and generally reassuring anyone when needed. His smile and kind spirit will be greatly missed. Please know we are here, whenever needed, and just a few steps away..
