Dickerman, Beverly Carol
Dec. 22, 1934 - Oct. 1, 2008

Beverly Carol Dickerman, 73, Sarasota died Oct. 1, 2008.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sarasota Memorial Park. Entombment will follow immediately after services. A Celebration of Beverly's life will be held at Palm-Aire Country Club following services at Sarasota Memorial Park. Palms-Robarts Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 47 wonderful years, Norman; daughters Jodi Vose of Moorsville, N.C., and Wendy Lindberg of Germantown, Md.; a sister, Patricia Divine, of Toronto; and grandchildren Gregory and Alexandra of Moorsville, N.C. and Evan of Germantown, Md.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Tyler and Estelle Barber.
Beverly completed pediatric nurse training at North Shore Baby's Hospital in Massachusetts. She worked in medical care until she met her husband, Norman.
Bev and Norman happened to meet at an eastside diner where they were introduced to each other by a waitress they both knew. One year later they were married.
They lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, and Rhode Island as Norman's work required.
Beverly discovered a hidden talent in sales. She worked her way to becoming a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics. When Norman started his own business, Beverly became a record-breaking salesperson with Casual Corner.
Beverly then devoted herself to raising her two children. She had a tremendous amount of energy in everything she did with her family. Her fastidiousness was apparent in her appearance and her home. Beverly never rested when there was work to be done and never was seen with one hair out of place.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to her 5-year-old grandson Evan's medical fund at Evan's Fund, c/o Health and Medicine Counsel of Washington, 507 Capitol Court, NE, Suite 200, Washington, D.C. 20007.
