Glenn Baker Patterson, 66, Venice, Florida, passed away after many victorious health battles over the last 25 years February 24, 2021. Memorial service will be held at a later time this year.
Glenn was born in Chattanooga, Tn. on March 5,1954. He graduated high school in 1972 from Longmeadow High in Longmeadow, Mass. He attended Manatee Community College and later received an Optician Degree from Dekalb College in Atlanta, Ga.
Glenn owned and operated Precision Vision in downtown Sarasota, Fl. for eight years and when he closed due to his health he worked at AAA Club as a dispatcher for 5 years. Glenn was an avid reader and was an active member of the Moose Club in Gulfgate.
Glenn is survived by his sister Vickie Hartsock, nieces Kimberly Hartsock, Elizabeth Markham, and Nicole Hartsock and nephew Robert (Rob) Patterson and sister-in-law Robin Patterson. Glenn had many loyal friends over his lifetime who supported him through many health battles Dr. Bob Dibble, Joe & Mary Linville, Charlie Brennan, Dinah Stamp, RD Steiger, Jeff & Connie Kovatch, Sara & Allan Jones and Dewey Crosby.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Bob Patterson and his brother Bob Patterson Jr. Memorial donations maybe made to Reeve Foundation for Spinal Research or Sarasota SPARCC.

Glenn dealt with a lifetime of serious hardship with an amazingly positive spirit. A real friend, and I’ll miss him a lot. Condolences to family and friends.
