Harry M. Cummings, 92, Bradenton, died July 3, 2004. He was born March 2, 1912, in Bedford, Ind., and came to Bradenton 45 years ago from there. He was a supervisor for General Motors and was the founder and former owner of the Shake Pit Restaurant in Bradenton. He was a member of the Polka Dots Club for many years and a member of Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Janet; daughters Constance Deese of Bradenton and Sondra Wheeler of Columbus, Ind.; sons James and Jerry, both of Bradenton; a sister, Bernice Norman of Bedford; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The visitation was Tuesday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel. The service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto.
