Nicholas Keith Dumdei, 12, Bradenton, died Jan. 8, 2003, after a pickup hit him when he darted onto Upper Manatee River Road at Fourth Avenue. He was born Dec. 31, 1990, in Parkston, S.D., and came to Bradenton in 2001 from Lake Andes, S.D. He was a student at Haile Middle School. He was a member of the J.P. Igloo Hockey League and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents, Keith A. and Mary C. of Bradenton; his maternal grandparents Margaret and Thomas Thomson of Lake Andes; a paternal grandmother, Leona Dumdei of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sisters Sabrina, Jennifer and Crystal, all of Bradenton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown and Sons Funeral home, 26th Street Chapel. A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Palmetto.
