Paul Lynch Obituary

Paul John Lynch of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Cary, NC passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2021 at the age of 72.
He leaves behind a family who will miss him every day: beloved wife and best friend, Anne; daughters, Colleen Heiden and Katie Baker; sons-in-law, Patrick Heiden and Andrew Baker; grandchildren, Liam, Lilly, Olivia and Owen; sister, Patricia Fisher; and brothers, John Lynch and Phil Lynch.
A memorial mass will take place Monday April 19 at 10am at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund to support pediatric cancer research and care at: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.jimmyfund.org/gift.

My prayers and feelings go out to Paul's family. We flew the 727 many times together in both BOS and NYC. Paul was one of those guys that could be counted on to do his flying work with total professionalism and ability. We all are shocked of his passing; but our memories have only good things to remember about him. I just stood and saluted Paul in honor of a great person and aviator. I am deeply saddened by the news of Paul's sudden passing. My heartfelt condolences and sympathy go out to his family and friends. Paul and I began our careers in the same new hire class at Delta, following similar paths from Naval Aviator to Delta Captain. We made a strong bond and friendship from day one which I still feel strongly today. He had an indomitable spirit and infectious smile. Godspeed my friend.
