An eternal optimist, Peter was beloved by those who knew him for his enthusiasm for life, ever present sense of humor and the delight he took in connecting with everyone around him. He was admired for the depth and range of his general knowledge of the world. Born in Czechloslovakia, he immigrated to the USA with his parents and sister at the age of 1 year and settled in Newfield, New Jersey where he grew up. He was a graduate of Rutgers University earning his undergraduate and Phd in Materials Science as a Ceramic Engineer. He resided in New York, California and New Jersey before retiring to Osprey, Florida to enjoy the sunshine. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. His wife, Martha Marlow; three children, Robert Fleischner, Paul Fleischner and Michael Fleischner; two step children, Timothy Marlow and Sara Gaudet; his sister Margit Kir-Stimon; two grandchildren, Dana Guyette and Robin Johl; a step grandchild, Cassie Gaudet and a Great grandchild, Wesley Johl. He was predeceased by a daughter, Julia Fleischner. A celebration of Peter's life will be announced at a later date.
