Rodney Eugene Skinner Obituary
Skinner, Rodney Eugene
Jun 4, 1928 - Feb 13, 2018
Rodney Eugene Skinner, 89, died quietly at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Battlecreek, Michigan, he was the son of Dr. Eugene William Skinner and Hazel Deland Skinner, and stepson of Rosamond Liddell Skinner. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Allen Skinner; son, Dr. Michael (Dr. Celette Sugg Skinner) Skinner; daughter, Lee Randlett; grandchildren, Mason Randlett, Sloan (Rocky) Gingg, Brenna Randlett and great grandson, Brendan Randlett. He served as a pilot in the Air Force during the Korean War, and had a distinguished career in the insurance industry. The last year of his life was one of decreasing mobility, causing him to look forward all the more to his resurrection in the savior. Despite his illness, he retained his sense of humor until the end. He was a member of the Palmetto First Baptist Church, there will be no local services at this time. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Condolences to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com
