Geri Hoffman Obituary

Hoffman, Geri
March 20, 1928 - March 23, 2008

Geri Hoffman, 80, Sarasota, formerly of Stamford, Conn., died March 23, 2008.
Mrs. Hoffman was born Geri McReynolds on March 20, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, and attended Hanover College in Madison, Ind., and Roosevelt University in Chicago. She had a successful career in cost accounting in the defense research industry prior to marrying her husband, Dr. Oscar A. Hoffman, in 1956.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Peter M. Hoffman of Los Angeles and New Orleans and Jared M. Hoffman of Ellicott City, Md.; five grandchildren; and her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Shirley McReynolds of Bedford, Ind. Her parents were David C. McReynolds and Mary Farmer McReynolds of Milan, Ind.
Funeral arrangements were private. The family kindly requests friends and acquaintances to pray for Geri in their own faith tradition, and in lieu of flowers, contribute to their charities that work in favor of women and children in the U.S. and around the world.
