Mary Winslow Obituary
Sept. 23, 1916 - Aug. 5, 2009
Mary Alice Amory Winslow of Casey Key died on August 5 at her home after a long illness.
A private service will be at a later date. Arrangements by Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.
Mary Alice was born in New York on Sept. 23, 1916, the daughter of the late Nellie Dawson Moore Amory and Eugene Horton Amory of Bronxville, N.Y.
Mary Alice graduated from Miss Porter's School of Farmington, Conn., and Finch College in New York.
She and her husband, the late John Colburn Winslow, were among the founders of the Venice Yacht Club and charter members of the Field Club. Since 1979, Mary Alice had been a member of Founders Garden Club of Sarasota, and had served as its second vice president from 1985 to 1987.
She is survived by her son, John C. Winslow Jr. of Sarasota; her daughter, Ann Winslow Donelly; and her son-in-law Norbert P. Donelly of Osprey; her granddaughter, Amory Winslow McAndrew of New York; her grandson, Norbert Rogan Donelly of Boston; and her nieces, Amory Millard and Bonnie Regendahl, both of New York.
Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice.

Dear Anne, I will always have fond memories of our mothers' time together. MA was a bright, stylish, gracious lady, who left a legacy of women who like yourself, Amory M. & Amory W. will remind us of what it means to be a lady. Nevertheless, she will be missed....
