Leo Protigal Obituary
Sep. 23, 1926 - Nov. 29, 2013
Leo Protigal, 87, of Sarasota, FL, died on Friday following a long illness. The son of Jacob and Lena Protigal, Leo was born in Wilmington, DE and resided in Poughkeepsie, NY and Buffalo, NY before retiring to Sarasota in 1989. Leo followed his parents' footsteps by making a career in the retail furniture industry. He opened a privately owned business in the 1960s and subsequently became a manager for a major furniture retailer. He is predeceased by Angeline Morabito-Protigal who passed in 2010. Leo is survived by his children Andrew Protigal, Stacy (Scott) Protigal Aabel, James (Melissa) Protigal, Antoinette (Ian) Scott, Josette (Russell) Constantino, Denise (Marty) Holman, Daniel (Susan) Morabito; his grandchildren, Brandon Aabel, Jarred Aabel and Brooke Aabel, Brooks Isaac Protigal. Services will be held at Palms-Roberts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL on Wednesday December 4 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association - in memory of Leo Protigal.
