Darrel G. Hamisfar Jr.
Jonesville - Darrel G. Hamisfar Jr., age 76, of Jonesville, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson. He was born on July 3, 1945, in New Lexington, Ohio to Darrel and Gertrude (Brandall) Hamisfar. He married Linda Denning on January 10, 1969, and she survives.
Darrel graduated from Jackson High School in 1963 and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy where he was a radar technician on a submarine. He worked many different jobs after the Navy including being an insurance salesman, working at Hi-Lex in Litchfield and owning Log Cabin Video and Tanning in Jackson. Darrel loved playing euchre at the senior center and conservation club and sudoku. Darrel volunteered his time as a driver for Perennial Park for many years and was also a member of the Boyce Carpenter Bunce American Legion Post 195.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 52 years; Linda, two sons; Darrel "Dar" (Teri Phillips) Hamisfar, and Gregory Hamisfar both of Jonesville, one grandson, Bradley Hamisfar of Jonesville, two great-grandchildren, Liam and Nova-Rose Hamisfar, and two siblings; Nancy (Del) Kroeker of Westboro, Wisconsin and Tim Hamisfar of Adrian.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother; William.
A memorial service for Darrel G. Hamisfar Jr. will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Jonesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Sweet officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
