Jason David Moncrief, first born of Jesse David Moncrief and Teresa Dillon Moncrief and descendent of the Scottish Moncrieff clan, passed away unexpectedly on December 16th, 2017 in Pasadena, Texas.

He was born on February 24th, 1980 in Tampa, Florida and is survived by his parents and three siblings – Cynthia Moncrief, Joseph Moncrief, and David Moncrief, grandmother, aunts, uncles, nephews, niece and cousins.

Growing up, Jason enjoyed participating in soccer, high school sports, music and Boy Scout adventures – including a trip to the National High Adventure base – Philmont. After high school Jason joined the Navy to see the world and worked as a chef earning the nickname "Monchief".

After the Navy, Jason returned to school and went into the IT industry. This led him to move to Texas for better job opportunities at several large IT companies. Jason loved on-line gaming, was a friend to everyone and would help anyone in need – recently volunteering with the Red Cross to help during hurricane Harvey.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic church in Hockessin, Delaware at 7 p.m., on Monday, March 12th – to be followed by a brief reception.

We love and will miss you Jason – may you rest in peace.
