Ms. Cheri's youngest son Peter has been my best friend for about 14yrs, he's actually not just my friend, but a part of my family. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Ms. Cheri on multiple occasions, but my fondest memory of her is actually my last. A couple months ago Peter had called me and asked what size shoe I wore. He said that he had dressed his mom up, and he told me how beautiful she looked. They were going to spend the day at the fireman's fair, he wanted her to have some summery sandles to top off her look. I went to my closet and took out a few options and a few minutes later Peter and Ms. Cheri were at my door. I introduced her to my husband and we headed back to the bedroom so she could try on shoes. She found a pair that worked out great, and Peter was so right about how beautiful she looked. She has always been beautiful, but it wasn't just her clothes or the make-up that made her stand out to me this time, it was her happiness. She was so excited to be going to the fair with Peter. She was glowing! She was being very talkative and it was just obvious that she was right where she wanted to be. She borrowed some shoes and some accent jewelry, she had on a summer dress with shades of green that just complimented her beautifully and of course Peter had done her beautiful silvery white hair ( He always said he can't wait until his turns...lol) They joked back and forth about a couple things and I laughed at them. Then it was time for them to be off. They both thanked me and I said no problem. Peter was in awe of his mom that day, her beauty, her glow, he saw it too I know he did. I hadn't seen Ms. Cheri in years, Im glad she needed to borrow some shoes and Im glad Peter called me. Im honored to have got to share in what I know is one of his fondest memories with her, their day at the fair. I love Peter and his whole family. Of course you are all in my prayers.
Goodbye Ms. Cheri you are so very loved by your children. I am honored to have known you.
Love Deanna Scott
